KJo, who made his direction debut with KKHH under the banner of Dharma Productions, back then, brought up the whole team of the movie on one platform to express their joy and share their experiences. The guests included the lead trio Shahrukh, Kajol, and Rani.

Unfortunately Salman Khan couldn’t make it to the event but still sent in a heartfelt video message. Other guests were Farida Jalal who played Rahul’s mom; Sana Saeed, the little Anjali, Parzan Dastur, the Sikh guy; Archana Puran SinghMs. Bregenza, and Neelam from The Neelam Show. Other than the cast, there was a number of people who played their roles perfectly behind the screens, which included Manish Malhotra, Jatin-Lalit duo and Mickey Contractor.

Other faces that showed up in all glam at the event for the love the team and movie, itself, counted in Kareena Kapoor Khan, Twinkle KhannaAbhishek Bachchan with sister Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Jahnvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Neha Dhupia, Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Ananya Pandey. Also, Alia Bhatt shared a very relatable video message.

In case you want to know who wore what, we’ve got a few details for you.

The star lead, Kajol carried a blue sequinned midi dress by Prabal Gurung, paired with a pair of Jimmy Choo’s.

Rani who played Tina in the movie, pulled on a black attire by Alexander McQueen and donned it with a red lipstick and casual hair.

Alia, who couldn’t really make it to the party physically, chose to flaunt her Silvia Tcherassi sequinned black dress that slit at her thighs even in the video.

Then there was KJo’s latest hit find, Jhanvi, who wore a Shehlaa Khan gown in green.

Ananya who is working on Karan’s next showed up in a Monisha Jaising dress and Sophia Webster stilettos.

Moving on to the highlights of the night, there were fun play cards with the most famous dialogues like

“Kuch Kuch hota hai, Rahul. Tum Nahi samjhoge.”

“Tussi jarahe ho? Tussi na jao.”

“Pyaar dosti hai.”

From the movie written and a booth depicting The Neelam show too. While talking about the film, Karan pointed out that KKHH is what it is because of the people who put in all the love and sweats into the making and all the people who loved it on screen.

He also added that the pressure of his father not giving a too good movie then, his debut, the big budget and star cast had built on. To which, Shahrukh added a humor, saying that on the sets, Hiroo who is Karan’s mom, would come to him, and tell him to help and keep an eye at Karan’s work.

Hence, that’s what made the movie what it came out to be. Later he elaborated that the first time Karan narrated the storyline, it was a total crap. But then it just got better and eventually the best. The on-screen Rahul also said that to-date he doesn’t understand scripts, in fact he understands the writers, characters and the co-workers.

Well, we guess that’s what makes him give hits after hits.Besides so many awards that the movie got in it’s times, one of the most self-explanatory ones was “The best film for providing wholesome entertainment” award in 1998.

This has taken us down the road and 20 years behind. We are watching the movie for the 1000th time tonight. What about you?
