The Cricket World Cup 2019 has just started off and the world is going crazy about their favorite teams. Yesterday at a meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, all the team captains showed up.
While all of them, from Virat Kohli to Eoin Morgan were all dressed up in suits, our beloved Sarfaraz Ahmed chose to represent his dear country Pakistan in a Shalwar Kameez. Pakistanis from all over the world have fallen in love with him, all over again. Even though, there has been a lot of trolling too, but the love won over all of it.
Celebrities appreciated the captain’s choice, too. This included Mahira Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi, mainly. The most heart warming was Sarfaraz‘s brother, Ahsan’s tweet that was full of support and love.
At a press conference, Sarfaraz Ahmed took the opportunity to express that it is our national dress and that is his way of representing the country while he met the queen. He added that the attire was a part of the instructions from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
