Once again, Shahrukh Khan to the rescue! But this time its not to save someone’s life as in movies, its for dissolving the clash between Raees and Kaabil. Film Raees, in which Shahrukh Khan is playing the lead role and Pakistani Drama Actress, Mahira Khan, will be debuting her Bollywood career, this film was first scheduled to release with Salman Khan‘s movie “Sultan“. We must say that it was a very inelegant move as this might have effected both the movies in making good business as movie “Sultan” has proved to be a good time watch and did really good business as well.
Now again SRK is stuck in the same situation as his movie “Raees” release date is clashing with Hrithik’s upcoming movie “Kaabil” that is, 27th January 2017 which is being directed by his father Rakesh Roshan. King Khan had to pay a mid night visit to their house in order to resolve this matter. It is reported that the meeting lasted for about two hours but still the issue was not resolved but after the meeting, SRK tweeted “Met friend/mentor/family after many a days.Mr. R.Roshan reminded me…it’s not important to do 2 much, it’s important to get 1 right. Thx sir.” showing utter respect to Mr. Rakesh Roshan.
The reason why SRK is avoiding this clash is so that both the films could do a good business besides sharing theaters due to same day release resulting in doing less business. SRK had said, “I think a big film should release in 3,500-4,000 theaters. When two big films release, we don’t get the magnitude of theatrical release we want. Till the time we don’t have 8,000-10,000 theaters, no two big films can come.”
Well from this point of view, SRK has a point. Lets hope that they will be able to resolve this matter and will be able to do good businesses. Fingers crossed.
