This series is produced by Pakistan’s Ansari Films and Turkey’s Akli Films and highlights the victories of the Muslim warrior Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi.

The first season of the series is currently airing in Pakistan and Turkey in their respective languages, with the entire cast comprising Turkish actors. However, senior Pakistani actor Muhammad Noor-ul-Hassan also appeared in the first season, playing the role of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani.

Casting for the second season of ‘Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi‘ has now started, and it will feature a strong cast including Pakistani stars. Showbiz journalist and both Ahmed Ali Akbar and Durefishan Saleem shared the poster of the second season of ‘Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi’ on their Instagram stories.

The news quickly went viral on social media, and fans of both actors expressed their excitement and happiness.

In December 2021, the announcement of the Pakistan-Turkey joint series was made, and almost three years later, the series began airing. Around 6,000 Pakistani artists auditioned for this historical series.

There were rumors that Ayesha Omar, Humayun Saeed, and Adnan Siddiqui would be part of the cast, but there has been no confirmation of their involvement so far.

During a talk show hosted by Ayesha Jahanzeb, Khalil ur Rehman Qamar revealed that Nauman Ijaz is the only person he truly hates. While acknowledging Nauman’s talent as an actor, he criticized him personally, calling him a disgraceful man. He mentioned that he cast Nauman in one of his plays specifically for a negative role.
