They say peace is subjective; rather than running behind it, you need to seek it from within. Is that even peace then?
Have you heard this line before? If not, you sure will after reading this article. This is a rhetorical question at the beginning of a song brought in the collaboration of Pakistani rock star, Junaid Khan and Indian rock band SPUNK. The song is called Talash. It is a metal rock track which gives out a message of peace between the two countries, Pakistan and India, and their people. It is a joint effort to promote unity and harmony in the beautiful language of music.
The lead vocalists are Junaid Khan and Abhishek Chatterjee. The number is the first one on the debut album of SPUNK and features our star already. Junaid had been promoting the song on his social media for a while with the hashtag #TalashForPeace. The video, on the other hand, is pictured on a guy wandering aimlessly, craving of peace and finally finds himself at the top of a building, facing the city chaos. The direction is flawless and takes you with it.
Talking about the track, Junaid said that music has no boundaries and this collaboration will promote harmony in both the cultures. Well if that’s what the heart throbbing singer had to say, we hope it does so.
