One such huge talent, in fact a living legend of Pakistan, is Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. He has been loved by music lovers from all around the world. Even people who don’t understand his languages, are a fan of his music.
In an effort to appreciate his contribution to the world of Qawwals and other musicians, he has received an honorary doctorate degree in music from the most prestigious, Oxford University.
In response to how he feels about this reward, RFAK said that it is an honor for him to receive the degree from a world famous educational institution. He also showed gratitude towards his fans, friends and family. He added that it is also a big day for all of them. The degree was issued yesterday, i.e. Wednesday, and tonight, he will be performing at the Oxford Town Hall.
This is an honor for all of us back in Pakistan and we are glad about it. What about you?
