Oh, what a night!
Yes, we are talking about the glamorous Hum TV Awards 2019 that took place in Houston on the weekend and with all the pictures and videos going around, all we can say is What a night!
From the red carpet to the starry performances, we loved all the bits we have seen. Talking about the winners, we got the whole list ready for you. Starting from the Jury Awards, the Best Actor female was given to Yumna Zaidi for her astounding performance as the lead for Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila. Yumna literally cried after she was awarded on stage. And no doubt, we could witness her dedication throughout the serial. Similarly, the Best Actor Male was awarded to the classy Nauman Ijaz whose work has won hearts for his role in Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila. Also, the Best drama serial was undoubtedly, Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila. However, Iqra Aziz and Farhan Saeed won the award for the best on screen couple for Suno Chanda.
Next up, were the Popular Choice Awards, where the Suno Chanda team won it all from Farhan for Best Actor, Iqra for Best Actress, both of them for Best On Screen Couple and Suno Chanda for Best Drama Serial. No doubt, it was everyone’s favorite!
Moreover, the Popular Choice Award for the Best Director was given to Kashif Nisar for his astonishing work in bringing Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila, the best way on our TV screens. Whereas for Best Writer, Bee Gul was rewarded for the same Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila.
Nauman Ijaz also made it to the Popular category for his performance in Dar Si Jaati Hai Sila, as he was awarded with the Best Actor in a Negative Role and the Most Impactful Character for his role as a child molester.
For the Popular Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor Male, it was a tie between Adnan Shah Tipu for Suno Chanda and Yasir Hussain for Baandi. However, the female category award was won by Nadia Afgan for her super entertaining job as Shahana in Suno Chanda. Also, the Best Child Actor was won by Suno Chanda’s little sensation Sami Khan for his role as the fun loving DJ. Baandi also bagged another award for the Best OST which was sung by Sahir Ali Bagga and Beena Khan. Go listen to this soulful number, if you haven’t yet.
Coming to the fresh new faces, the Best New Sensation TV male was given to Osama Tahir, whereas in the female category, the winner was the beautiful Alizey Shah. As the Best Telefilm, Farhan Saeed and Saba Qamar‘s Eid Telefilm, Is Dil Ki Aesi Ki Tesi, won the award.
Furthermore, the awards for Best Actor Soap Male and Female were awarded to Usama Khan for Sanwari and Zainab Ahmed for Maa Sadqay, respectively. On the other hand, the Best Soap was Sanwari, too.
The special Recognition Award for film was handed over to Parwaaz Hai Junoon and there are no second doubts about how amazing the movie was.
The 7th Hum Awards were a night filled with all the love, fun and togetherness. Our stars kept us posted with all that they enjoyed and celebrated. We just can not wait for the whole show to be in TV now. What about you?
